What exactly is anti-Slavic racism? Sarah gives us an introduction to definitions in the field of structural discrimination. Why isn’t anti-Slavic racism part of the German discourse on racism? How can we recognise it? Sarah will talk about her bachelor thesis research on how the Sorbian minority suffered from anti-Slavic racism from the 19th century until the end of WW ll. She will present stereotypes and contemporary examples from interviews. Then she invites us to share personal experiences and opinions. We hope for an interesting discourse together in the cool place between the quarry and the festival

(L)OST POETS

Die (L)OST POETS sind das hauseigene Poetry-Kollektiv der Lausitzer “SPOKEN WORD AKADEMIE”, das ganz bewusst mit seinem ostdeutschen Dorfi-Image kokettiert und das gesprochene Wort als Waffe im Kampf für eine bessere Welt einsetzt. Mit Ostbelgien und dem Sorbenland representen die (L)OST POETS gleich zwei europäische Minderheiten, die im Einklang mit dem Erzgebirge, Mittelsachsen und einem Hauch Thüringen eine mehrsprachige literarische Allianz formen, die weltweit einzigartig ist. Das L steht für ländlicher Raum, das OST für die Region und das LOST für die vielen ungehörten Geschichten und Stimmen, die im gesamtpolitischen Kontext fehlen.  Mit ihren engagierten Texten machen die (L)OST POETS jede Bühne zu einem Ort des Miteinanders, an dem Aufbruch spürbar wird und bieten eine kreative Show, die nicht nur unterhält, sondern vermitteln will, dass es mehr gibt, das uns eint, als uns trennt.

(L)OST POETS su swójski poetry-kolektiw łužiskeje “SPOKEN WORD AKADEMIE ”, kotryž cyle wědomje ze swojim „wuchodoněmskim-wjesnjanskim“-imageom koketěruje a rěčane słowo jako bróń w boju za lěpši swět zasadźi. Z wuchodnej Belgiskej a ze Serbskim krajom, reprezentuja (L)OST POETS hnydom dwě europskej mjeńšinje, kotrejž formujetej w přezjednosći z Rudnymi horinami, srjedźnej Sakskej a z čwakom Durinskej wjacerěčnu literarnu aliancu, kotraž je po cyłym swěće jónkrótna. L steji za wjesny rum, OST za region a LOST za mnohe njesłyšane stawiznički a hłosy, kotrež w cyło-politiskim konteksće faluja. Z jich angažowanymi tekstami činja (L)OST POETS kóžde jewišćo k městnu zhromadnosće, hdźež bywa zazběh čujomny, a skića kreatiwnu show, kotraž zabawja a pokaza, zo tam wjace je, štož nas zjednoći hač dźěli.

Serbski Reggi

Reggi (reggae) eksistuje dlěje hač 50 lět jako hudźbna, politiska a modiska subkultura. W serbskej rěči eksistuja dotal jenož mało přikładow za reggijowu hudźbu. Dźěłarnička „Serbski reggae“ ma to změnić. Po zawodźe a přikładźe słyšeć, so nowy serbski reggijowy spěw aranžuje a wuspyta. Dźěłarnička měri so na wšitkich zajimowanych a wotměje so měšansce rěčnje.
 
Reggae existiert seit mehr als 50 Jahren als musikalische, politische und modische Subkultur. In sorbischer Sprache existieren bisher nur wenige Beispiele für Reggaemusik. Der Workshop „Serbski reggae“ soll das ändern. Nach der Einführung und einem Hörbeispiel wird ein sorbisches Reggaestück arrangiert und ausprobiert. Der Workshop richtet sich an alle Interessierten und findet gemischtsprachig statt.

‘Der Wandel ist die einzige Konstante‘, schreibt Octavia E. Butler in ihrem Roman „Parabel of the Sower“, der 1993 veröffentlicht wurde. Seine Handlung beginnt im Jahr 2024. Die dort beschriebene ist in einem dystopischeren Zustand als unsere Welt heute. Doch in den vielfältigen Krisen, die wir erleben, resoniert der Text mit unserer Gegenwart und gibt Kraft. Ich möchte mit Euch Fragmente aus dem Roman erkunden, über Resilienz und eure Erfahrungen sprechen, Samen säen und Fähigkeiten austauschen.

Sorbische Mythologie

Are there Sorbian witches? With collected writings, poetry and legends from the 9th century, Franci embarks on a journey with us. She travels back to the times of our ancestors and forefathers, when the devil was the purveyor of good and Lady Midday was still a glorious and powerful goddess.

Together we will deal with Sorbian myths and our old Slavic origins and try to open up a discourse on Sorbian identity. Is it only a question of Christian faith and the Sorbian language or do we still carry an old Slavic heritage within us? Where do we still find this culture in everyday life and why do we actually need these parts of our identity?

We try to connect Sorbian identity with traces of old slavic culture. Also we open a conversation about how we can rediscover and celebrate these practices. In doing so, we are distancing ourselves from the German nationalist occupation of pagan and especially Sorbian customs. We look forward to an interesting conversation and those who wish can take part in a small ritual at the end.

Spytamy serbsku identitu hromadźe ze slědami starosłowjanskeje kultury myslić. Chcemy rozmołwu wo tym wjesć, kotre praktiki móžemy zaso namakać a swjećić. Při tym distancujemy so wot němsko-nacionalistiskeho wobsadźenja pohanskich a wosebje serbskich nałožkow. Wjeselimy so na zajimawu rozmołwu a štóž chce, móže so na kóncu hišće na małym ritualu wobdźělić.
